Surfing Paradise

The Nosara Beach Hotel looks down over Playa Guiones, one of the most consistent white sand beachbreaks in the world. The gradual incline of the ocean floor produces long, rolling, well shaped lefts and rights, often groomed by offshore winds, and surfable at all tides. Ideal for both longboarding and shortboarding alike, you can always find an uncrowded lineup and rideable wave here.

Playa Guiones is also an excellent beginner / intermediate surfing area, and lessons can be arranged. A short walk on a private trail from the hotel leads to surfing beaches on both sides of the point. Driving to find surf is not necessary! When not surfing, you can watch the waves and plan your next session while lounging on your private balcony.
